The TRPC T Band 300 mile young bird race is back for its 10th year in 2018. Once again setting the stage for an epic end of season test of young pigeons fitness and homing ability.
This race is flown from Batavia, NY over a very challenging and demanding course. Birds must first cross western New York's rolling terrain and cross the Finger Lakes region. Next they must go up and over the Catskill Mountains, then cross the Hudson River, up and over the Taconic Mountains immediately followed with yet another crossing of the southern end of the
Green Mountains in Northwest Connecticut. From here its time to break and head for home over the last 50 Miles! So are your birds tough enough? Do you want to test them out against some of the Northeast's top flying lofts? This is a true test of homing ability and quality of pigeon. The saying in New England is, "If your birds can win here, They can win anywhere!"
Breed your best and send a team to compete in this challenge. This race is done by Blind Rotation, all out of area birds are placed into TRPC handler lofts in the order they come in. Handlers don't know identity of birds until shipping night. All band sales go to prizes.
